OKAY WOW. Let me just say, I have been working on this meme for exactly 2 years, 5 months, and 2 days. Which may seem strange, considering the simple style of the art. Well, let me tell you this: I planned out a storyline, built every team, designated non-battling NPCs, even play-tested a few gym leader's teams to see how difficult they would be. I started this in 2010 as a silly little project, but slowly I began to realise... when it came to pokemon, just as when it comes to my own characters... I can not half ass anything. Pokemon teams are a very personal thing! They have to make sense, they have to be functional, formidable... there's a lot of thought in there I couldn't just leave out! And so, a little project I had started to alleviate stress, became a complicated--often messy-- intellectual affair.
And I could not be happier with the end result.
If you have any questions, please don't be afraid to ask. There's a lot going on there to be confused about. XD
This is SO COOL! I love the pixilated style you used, and I think you did really well picking out the teams. I think you did really well. Seriously, if they need a character design, I think the poke peeps should talk to you, because if the elite four looked anything like yours, well... I would probably die. And it would be awesome if they changed the character design for the trainers a little bit so they look just as cool, if not cooler, than the gym leaders. I mean, if I were a Pokemon trainer, I'd dress as kick ass as I could.
Aaaa I'm smiling so hard right how haha. Thank you very much. Aw man designing Pokemon characters would make my damn life haha. I loveee designing trainers. Aw man the player characters I designed for this are so cute haha, I should post some other things for this project some time.
